Hi!  I'm James!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know you and be a witness to your own personal growth and transformation journey.

I started down this particular path beginning in 2010 and along the way I have seen some amazing changes in my life as a result of incorporating Tantric, Taoist and Yogic philosophies and practices into everyday life.  I was also heavily influenced by additional learning and lived experiences in the areas of  intimacy, psychology, neuroscience and somatic practice.  My journey took a turn in 2017 when I felt compelled to share what I had learned and practiced in my life, with others. Since July 2018, I have continued to progress on my own personal journey while also sharing and working with others on their own pathways to change and growth. As of September 2019, I am centrally located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and am willing to travel throughout the US for intensive work.  I am also willing to meet with you online via Zoom or Messenger.

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher in the Kundinyasa style (blending Kundalini with Vinyasa), Reiki Master, Intimacy Educator, Certified Sexological Bodyworker (CSB - 2018), Certified Somatic Sex Educator (CSSE - 2020), Tantric Massage Therapist and Certified Professional Cuddlist.  I am also trained in Surrogate Partner Therapy and the Expanded Triadic Model.   I am trauma informed.

I trained in a variety of modalities so that I could meet people where they are and work within their comfort zones and boundaries.  Each modality has its own set of ethical guidelines that create safety during our work together.

I was drawn to bodywork and somatic practice when I continually saw that counseling and talk therapy rarely led to sustainable results for people that I knew and met.  We are integrated human beings....Body, Mind and Spirit.  I realized that a holistic whole-person approach is needed to attain and maintain real change.  Sadly, in our current sex negative and fear-based culture, bodywork, touch and nudity are often conflated with sex and prostitution.  Thus, the body aspect is commonly neglected and ignored completely.  This also ends up being where most people get stuck in their efforts to change.  I envision a day when a person can meet with their therapist for talk therapy and share physical touch and human connection with their cuddlist at the same time.

This work is client led and nothing happens without enthusiastic consent of the client and the practitioner.  Your intentions and goals will guide our work together. We will first co-create a container of trust, safety and comfort and then begin the journey from there.

Intimacy coaching and somatic practice work can include but are not limited to coaching in breath, movement, sound, intention, touch, body awareness, consent and boundary-setting, communication, anatomy, sensate focus, myofascial release and scar tissue remediation. This work is designed to nurture, deepen or awaken the sense of sensual self. It can also help you to heal feelings of shame and guilt, explore the intersection of sex and spirit, better know and communicate your desires, and deepen your capacity for pleasure.

Additionally, if you are experiencing sexual dysfunction, painful sex, lack of sensation or numbness, difficulty reaching climax, anxiety, aversion or depression around sex, loneliness or lack of intimate connection, some curiosity around kink, toys or bondage, or if you are not having the kind of sex, intimacy or touch that you want, then you will benefit on this path.
